New Research On The Impact Of Revised Concussion Guidelines On Improved Recovery
2/19/21 Changes in pediatric concussion management were linked to decreased duration of symptoms among middle school and high school athletes ages 11 to 18 who were diagnosed with a first-time, sports-related concussion, researchers reported in the Journal of Osteopathic Medicine. The findings were based on data involving 182 athletes.

New York State Education Department (NYSED) Releases a Memo Regarding COVID-19 Testing and Sports Participation
2/18/21 The Department has received reports from the field that some school districts are requiring parental consent, on behalf of their children, to COVID-19 testing as a condition of activities including in-person learning and extracurricular activities.

2/18/21 The USDA National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program serve nearly 30 million children daily, or 7 billion meals annually, with a large percentage served at low or no cost, to low-income students. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, school nutrition programs have developed innovative ways to ensure in-person, virtual, and hybrid learners continue to have access to safe and nutritious meals.
