The Impact of STIs on NYS Youth
While sexually transmitted infections (STIs) affect individuals of all ages, STIs take a particularly heavy toll on youth. The CDC estimates that youth ages 15-24 account for almost 50% of new sexually transmitted infections that occurred in the United States in 2018. This course will reveal the increase and implications of STIs on school-aged students and the evidence-based tools to help school health provides support students. One hour of PD/CTLE credit is awarded upon successful completion of this course. (December 2021, 30 minutes)

NYSDOH/NYSED Approved Training Webinar (March 2017, 22 minutes)
This NYS Department of Health/NYS Department of Education approved webinar may be used to train unlicensed school personnel in recognizing signs of anaphylaxis and how to respond using an Epinephrine Auto-Injector (EAI).

The Center continuously researches, obtains, and aggregates the most current information on school health on our website and shares it via our email system and Facebook. Zoom webinars allow us to share that information in a timely manner at no cost to participants.
- Pre-registration is required for live event Zoom Webinar Sessions.
- Session content will also be made available in our Learning Management System.
- You can enter any Zoom session 15 minutes early to check your sound and audio.
- Sessions with PD/CTLE will be identified. The certificate will be provided upon completion of the post-session evaluation.
- Session dates and content may change to address current issues facing school health professionals.
