NYS Guide for Asthma Management in Schools (NYSED & NYSDOH 9/2018)
Adapted from the National Institutes of Health, Managing Asthma: A Guide for Schools (2014) and tailored specifically for NYS through a collaboration of the NYSDOH and the NYS Education Department. It provides information to assist school personnel in helping students with asthma remain healthy and participate fully in school.
Caring for Students with Life-Threatening Allergies Manual
Developed by NYSDOH, NYSED, and NYSCSH. It contains guidance for developing district anaphylaxis policies and other resource tools, such as education for school staff, care plans, 504 plans, IEPs, IHPs, field trips, and classroom and environmental planning.

New Policy for Stocking Albuterol Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs) (NYSED 8/23/11)
Provides information on stocking albuterol metered dose inhalers and/or liquid albuterol for use in a nebulizer for students diagnosed with asthma whose personal albuterol prescription is empty. This is a voluntary option for school districts.
