Note: Medical Devices Used in Diabetes Management: Schools are not required to manage non-FDA-approved pumps, blood glucose monitoring devices, combinations of pumps, and monitoring devices not labeled as compatible by the manufacturer. The FDA website includes information on FDA-Approved Devices and Blood Glucose Monitoring Devices. Note: In May 2019, the FDA issued a warning alert about safety issues of non-FDA-approved devices.
