State and Local Action Steps and Practices to Improve School-Based Health-Provides a toolkit for administrators with resources to implement strategies and programs related to health services to ensure all students are ready and able to learn.

Local Health Department and School Partnerships Working Together to Build Healthier Schools
Partnerships and collaboration with community agencies are essential to helping schools secure the resources and support necessary to address the components of the WSCC model. Local health departments (LHDs) are community agencies that can be key partners in school and district-level efforts to strengthen various aspects of student and staff wellness.  

School Health Policies and Practices Study (SHPPS)
CDC assessment of school health policies and practices in the US. It assesses the 8 components of school health at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Schools can use SHPPS data to evaluate their own school health policies and practices against state and national averages in developing and implementing programs or strategies which support healthy youth and learning environments.
