Raise Fentanyl Awareness

Did you know that just 2mg of fentanyl, the amount on the tip of this pencil, can be enough to kill the average person? The 2024 DEA fentanyl seizures represent over 216 million deadly doses.

Help us save lives by educating yourself and talking to others about the dangers of fentanyl. Join us in observance of Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day on Wednesday, August 21.

Explore DEA's resources on fentanyl prevention and awareness:

DEA Faces of Fentanyl Exhibit | Commemorate the lives lost from fentanyl poisoning. The DEA Museum will open with extended hours from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 21 for public viewing of this exhibit. Unable to make it? Visitors can view the wall Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during regular hours.

Operation Prevention | We have partnered with Discovery Education to provide no-cost online tools that help begin the conversation on drug misuse and prevention.

One Pill Can Kill | Laboratory testing indicates 7 out of every 10 pills seized by DEA contain a lethal dose of fentanyl. The One Pill Can Kill campaign provides resources on the dangers of counterfeit pills.
