For a Bystander, Hands-Only CPR can be performed until help arrives if you are unsure about putting your mouth on a stranger’s mouth, or have concerns the person may have COVID-19.
May an ambu or masked valve bag be used to provide respiratory support during CPR?
Yes. It must be approved by the school medical director and or PAD program director and all nursing staff would need to be trained to use the bag correctly.
