Recognizing and Supporting Healthy Teen Relationships Webinar
This self-paced webinar will explore healthy and unhealthy relationships; what they are, and how to recognize the differences. It will define the role of school staff, including teachers and nurses, in helping to support healthy relationships in students in a school setting. Resources and best practices will be shared. Slides that contain learn more icons indicate resources that can be found on the NYSCSH website. A certificate of completion with 1 hour CTLE will be provided upon conclusion of the post test. After the presentation participants will be able to:
- Describe the role that power and control plays in the cycle of dating and domestic violence.
- Explain the difference between healthy, unhealthy and dangerous relationships.
- Identify 2 NYSCSH resources to assist schools support those at risk of and/or victims of dating and domestic violence.
- Create action steps you can take to support students affected by dating violence.
