This National Association of School Nurses White Paper is the outcome of an April 2018 NASN Round-table in Atlanta. It provides education, resources, and an actionable framework to help those who create policy and programs in schools understand the impact of chronic health conditions on student success and how school nurses can be key on-site experts in helping address the challenges students and families face and creating a bridge between the school, home, and medical providers.
