In New York State (NYS), insurance is provided through the NY State of Health, which is designed to help people shop for and enroll in health insurance coverage. Anyone who needs health coverage can apply. Individuals, families, and small businesses can use the Marketplace to help them compare insurance options, calculate costs, and select coverage online, in-person, on the phone, or by mail. The Marketplace helps people check their eligibility for healthcare programs like Medicaid and sign up for them if they are eligible.

Patient assistance programs are run by pharmaceutical companies to provide free medications to people who cannot afford to buy their medicine. RxAssist offers a comprehensive database of these patient assistance programs, as well as practical tools, news, and articles, so that health care professionals and patients can find the information they need. All in one place. 

Partnership for Prescription Assistance 
This program helps qualifying patients without prescription drug coverage get the medicines they need through the program that is right for them. Many will get their medication free or nearly free.
