Observed annually on June 27, National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) is a day to emphasize and encourage HIV testing. HIV testing allows people to know their status so they can make informed decisions about their health.

This year’s CDC theme is Level up your self-love: check your status. Self-love is about people valuing themselves, showing themselves compassion and respect, and honoring their needs. HIV testing is an act of self-love because it gives people the information they need to stay healthy.
