2019 Monitoring the Future Report Released

Monitoring the Future is an ongoing study of the behaviors, attitudes, and values of American secondary school students, college students, and young adults. Each year, approximately 50,000 8th, 10th, and 12th-grade students are surveyed. The Monitoring the Future Study has been funded under research grants from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, a part of the National Institutes of Health.

Key findings from the survey include those on vaping and nicotine indicate that National adolescent drug trends in 2018 indicated that the vaping increase was the largest year to year increase ever recorded in the U.S. for 10th and 12th grade students.
