NYSDOH Influenza Notification Alert  
Schools and child-care settings are required to post influenza educational material, in plain view, within their facilities. Information should be posted starting now. Influenza season begins in early fall and can last through May.

Amendment to Title 10 (Health) of the New York Codes Rules and Regulations: “Prevention of Influenza Transmission by Healthcare and Residential Facility and Agency Personnel”  
As of April 28,2025 section 2.59 of the New York State Sanitary Code no longer require all healthcare and residential agencies regulated pursuant to Article 28,36, or 40 of the Public Health Law , to ensure that all personnel, as defined in the regulation , not vaccinated against influenza for the current influenza season wear a surgical or procedural mask while in areas where patients or residents may be present.
