This free, text-based service aims to help young people quit using tobacco products, including vapes, pouches, and cigarettes. Participants receive daily messages along with interactive skill-building exercises to help manage stress, handle cravings, and maintain confidence in social situations.

NYSDOH Report, High School Youth Tobacco Use Continues to Decline in 2024, One in Six Youth Still Use Tobacco
In 2024, data from the New York Youth Tobacco Survey (NY-YTS) declared the lowest of tobacco product use since 2000 at 17%, a 29% decline from 2022.  The data shows that youth tobacco use has reached its lowest level ever recorded in New York State.

Reality Check 
Funded by the NYS Department of Health, Bureau of Tobacco Control, Reality Check empowers youth to take action to decrease tobacco use, protect youth from exposure to tobacco marketing and imagery and eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke.

Truth Initiative®
largest non-profit public health organization dedicated to tobacco education, research, and policy. Previously known as the American Legacy Foundation,  they were established as part of the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement. It provides state-specific info that can be used to educate students, families, and staff.
